Will I be treated individually or in a group?

Clients seeking individual treatment will receive it in confidence in our private office, where we intend to make the sessions as comfortable as possible.

There are certain treatments, such as anger management and domestic violence programmes, that are known to be more effective in group settings. Group therapy can allow individuals to see their situations are shared by others, which can be important for progressing in certain circumstances, while also allowing the development of a support network.

Where group therapy is recommended, each client will be assessed individually to determine their suitability, to ensure a positive dynamic in a group that meets each individual’s needs. No client will be assigned to group work where this would cause issues for the client or others, or where a client has stated they do not feel this would be the best approach to their treatment.
